Alex Verner Scholarship
Eligibility: Must be a graduating senior at Clawson High School that will attend college, university or trade school in the Fall of 2024.
Criteria: Alex Verner was full of talent, drive, love and kindness. She embodied a selfless attitude in every aspect of her life. She loved to serve others and did it with compassion. She was athletic, creative and found success in the classroom through hard work and perseverance. Candidates who qualify for this generous scholarship should possess these qualities and be able to articulate how this scholarship will benefit their path in life.

Any Clawson resident who will attend an institution of higher education in the 2024-2025 academic year may apply. The purpose of the Clawson Lions Club Scholarship is to: encourage students to consider careers of service to others, assist a qualified candidate in the pursuit of a service career, and extend the Lions' tradition expressed in their motto, "We Serve". Clawson Police Department School Liaison Scholarship Program
Purpose: This scholarship was established in 2010 to give recognition to any graduating senior who wishes to pursue a career within the Criminal Justice System. Eligibility: Must be a graduating senior who attends Clawson High School or a Clawson resident who is a graduating senior at another local high school. Must be planning to attend a post-secondary school program with a focus in Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement. Must have a minimum cumulative High School GPA of 2.5. Amount: The dollar amount and number of scholarships awarded will be based upon the amount of money raised at the Annual Spring Fundraiser. This will be determined by the Chair or Organizing Officer each year.

Purpose: Junior Trojan Basketball (JTB) Scholarship was established to encourage high school students to continue their education at any accredited community college, university or trade school. This scholarship must be used towards tuition payment or books at the institution of the student's choice.
Eligibility: Must have been a participant or a volunteer in JTB Winter League or JTB Summer Camp. Must be a graduating senior at Clawson High School that will attend college, university or trade school in the Fall of 2024.

Qualifications: High school senior, resident of Madison Heights or Troy, immediate family member served in the Armed Forces of the United States, participated in community service, demonstrates leadership abilities, high school grade average of "B" or above. Two $1,500 scholarships will be awarded.

Louise G. Young was a beloved science teacher at Clawson High School. She touched many students' lives and had an impact on them that spans many years. Miss Young was known for her integrity, honesty, and excellent work ethic. Applicants applying for this scholarship must have a G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher, plan to major in a science field in college, and participated in extracurricular activities at Clawson High School. In addition to submitting this application, you will need to obtain three letters of recommendation and a copy of your high school transcripts. Please include the letters of recommendation and PDF of your high school transcripts in ONE email to [email protected] and type 'Louise G. Young Scholarship' as the subject title.

American Legion Scholarships
The American Legion, Department of Michigan is offering twenty (20) scholarships to be awarded in the spring of 2024. There will be five (5) William D. and Jewell Brewer Scholarships in the amount of $500 each and fifteen (15) Guy M. Wilson Scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each. Criteria for the two scholarships differ and will be available only to students who meet the eligibility requirements for that scholarship. Selections are based upon academic performance, leadership quality, and basis of need.

The David Barns Scholarship
For 2024, The David Barns Scholarship will be awarding a scholarship to both a male and female high school senior that best represents David’s athletic prowess, academic excellence, and commitment to the community. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. - Southfield Alumnae Chapter Scholarship
The Southfield Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is committed to helping young people succeed academically. This includes ensuring that students have access to the financial resources they need to obtain a college education. Scholarships are available to graduating 2024 high school seniors who reside or attend a public, private, or charter high school within the service areas of Southfield Alumnae Chapter. The Daziah T. Crawford Foundation (TDTCF)
The Daziah T. Crawford Foundation (TDTCF) was established in 2019. It's in honor of Daziah whose life ended tragically on August 5, 2018. She was a journalism major and a recording artist. Her family and friends wanted to keep her legacy alive and decided a foundation helping students to pursue their dreams is the greatest honor. For 2024, we're happy to share that we've increased our scholarship amount! The Daziah T. Crawford Foundation will award approximately four (4) scholarships, in the amount of $750 per award, based on applicant’s eligibility of qualifications. Each recipient must attend a two-year or four-year educational institution with credits toward Journalism and Performing Arts majors. MI JCI Scholarships
The MI JCI Senate Offers 2 Scholarships! One for Traditional 4 Year Colleges and one for Vocational or Trade School. Attached are the MI JCI Senate Scholarship applications and checklist. There is a separate application for traditional college and for students attending a vocational or trade school. Both must also do the checklist. Completed application must be postmarked by Jan 19, 2024 and mailed to MI JCI Senate Scholarship c/o Nina Perko, 7568 Corbett Dr., Canton, MI 48187. The national organization has a GPA requirement but the state organization does not. All applications (regardless of GPA) will be considered for our state scholarship. MI JCI Senate looks more for leadership and community involvement.

Michigan Achievement Scholarship
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer launched a new webpage to help the graduating class of 2024 apply for the Michigan Achievement Scholarship and lower their cost of college by thousands of dollars a year. Graduates are eligible for annual scholarships up to:

Michigan Elks Charitable Grant Fund - Gold Key Scholarship
The Gold Key Scholarship can be the next step in the process for helping special needs students leave high school and enter into college (2 yr or 4 yr), trades school, or vocational school. Michigan Government and Schools Credit Union - William Cayen Skilled Trades Scholarship
The William Cayen Skilled Trades Scholarship is named after current MSGCU Board Chairman, William Cayen, who has a passion helping students achieve their dreams and follow their passions. Recipients will be selected based on a number of criteria, a minimum GPA of 2.5, answers to three short questions, and a letter of recommendation from a teacher, instructor, or administrator. ROADC Tom Regan Youth Community Activist Scholarship
The Royal Oak Area Democratic Club will be awarding a scholarship to a local graduating high school senior to support their college, vocational school, or other post-high-school education, training, or activism. Monthly Meeting on Saturday, June 1st.
Requirements: Applicants must be a 2024 graduating high school senior who lives in or is graduating from a school in Royal Oak or Clawson. Applicants must complete the required application materials listed below. Students will be considered based on their civic involvement, dedication to their community, and their application submission.

Boom & Bucket is offering a scholarship of $1,000 to be awarded each year to a student pursuing a heavy machinery themed program. Young Artist Award
Each year From the Top’s Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award Program provides 20 outstanding young musicians who demonstrate financial need with a $10,000 scholarship to advance their artistic development and education. In addition, Jack Kent Cooke Young Artists perform on the hit NPR and PBS program, From the Top, and participate in arts leadership training to spread the power of classical music.

Youth Scholarship Program
The Apprentice Ecologist Initiative (officially recognized by the U.S. EPA) has engaged tens of thousands of young volunteers (kids, teens, and college-age youth) from around the world in environmental cleanup and conservation projects since 1999. This program has received multiple awards from the City of Albuquerque, a "Best Community Impact" award from Eastern Kentucky University, and is featured on thousands of web sites. Here's how to become an official Apprentice Ecologist and be considered for a scholarship: 1. Conduct your own environmental stewardship project in 2023, 2. Take a few digital photos of your project in action, 3. Write an essay about your project and what it meant to you, 4.Register and upload your favorite project photo along with your essay.
